GEMA Manager gathers the data for your GEMA registration: artists with IPI and publisher, audio files, splits and ISRC. The result is one CSV per song for the GEMA registration and a master ZIP for your publisher.

For every registration, artists, IPI numbers, splits and ISRCs get gathered again. GEMA Manager stores them once and builds the paperwork for the registration from them.

At the press of a button, GEMA Manager searches Spotify for the ISRC of every version that has none. Check the hits before you export; missing codes are flagged in the overview.

Export
Select songs and create a master ZIP. Each song gets a folder with its CSV and all audio files, ready for your publisher.

The file name does the groundwork.
Well-named files fill in the form themselves. The parser detects artists, title, features, version and label before you type anything. Artists come before the hyphen, a feature follows “ft.” or “feat.”, and the label sits in square brackets. Separate multiple artists with a comma, “&” or “and”.

The app picks the version from keywords in the file name (for example Radio, Extended or Instrumental) or from the text in parentheses. Without either, it sets “Original”. It reads version, ISRC and length for every file. Only the first file you drop into an empty file list fills the form, and only fields that are still empty. The label is usually already set to the default label from the settings, so the label from the file name only applies when there is no default label. The feature lands in the “Weitere Künstler” field. The app only adds an artist as a participant if one with exactly that name already exists.

GEMA Manager is currently an internal WhiteCapMusic tool. It is not for sale and not publicly available to download; demos are available on request.
macOS 12 or later as a universal app, and Windows via installer.
The ISRC search needs developer credentials from developer.spotify.com. Without them, you enter the ISRC by hand.
No. It only creates the CSV for the GEMA registration and the master ZIP with all files. There is no upload to GEMA, and the app only goes online for the Spotify search. The registration still goes through you and your publisher. GEMA Manager is an independent tool, not affiliated with GEMA or checked by it. The CSV serves as a template for your own registration.
Locally on your computer, in an SQLite database in the ~/.gema_manager folder. Exports go to the folder you set in the settings.
